Teguise, home of craftspeople

Teguise is viewed as the birthplace of the traditional Canarian musical instrument, the timple.

Handicrafts, especially ceramic ware, are still a strong tradition in this district. Couples on holidays should visit El Mojón and buy the authentic “Novios del Mojón” figurines representing fertility.

Artisans Walk

Every Wednesday from 6:00pm to 10:00pm, the craftsmen from the island meet and exhibit their products.
